About TraceLoom
What is TraceLoom?
TraceLoom is an operating platform for textile mills and garment factories. It pulls orders, output, energy use, and workforce data from the meters and ERP a factory already runs, and turns them into one live view of the floor plus a signed, always-current record that buyers can verify.
Who is TraceLoom for?
Textile mills and garment factories, and the managing directors, floor managers, and sales teams inside them. Brands and buyers use the shared profile a factory publishes to check a supplier’s real operating record before and during an order.
What problem does TraceLoom solve?
Factories run their operations across meters, spreadsheets, and an ERP that nobody outside the office can see, so proving performance to a buyer means a scramble of manual exports. TraceLoom reads those systems automatically and keeps a current, verifiable record, so the proof is ready before a buyer asks for it.
How is TraceLoom different from an ERP or a spreadsheet?
An ERP records transactions and a spreadsheet is a manual snapshot that goes stale the day it is made. TraceLoom does not replace either. It reads from your existing systems, stays live, and produces an operating record a third party can trust.
Data and setup
Where does TraceLoom get its data?
From the systems a factory already runs: energy and utility meters, the ERP or production database, and existing utility bills. TraceLoom polls these sources on a schedule. Where a live connection is not available yet, it can read periodic CSV or file exports as a fallback.
Do I have to enter data by hand?
No. TraceLoom is built to read from your existing meters and ERP rather than turn your team into data-entry clerks. Manual upload exists only as a fallback for sources that cannot be connected yet.
Does TraceLoom replace my ERP?
No. It connects to your ERP and reads from it. Your ERP stays the system of record for transactions, while TraceLoom turns that data into a live operating view and a verifiable track record.
How long does it take to get set up?
Onboarding depends on how your meters and ERP expose their data. A factory with accessible meter feeds and an ERP export can be live in weeks, not months. Our team maps your sources during onboarding.
Buyers and compliance
What is a live profile?
A live profile is the shareable page a factory publishes from its TraceLoom data. It shows a current, signed operating record, and the factory controls exactly what a given buyer can see. Each version is timestamped and hashed so a buyer can confirm it has not been edited after the fact.
Does TraceLoom help with the EU Digital Product Passport, CSRD, and CSDDD?
TraceLoom is built to get factories ready for these EU requirements. Its data model and export target the Digital Product Passport, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. The DPP rules under ESPR are still being finalised, so this is readiness for the coming mandate rather than a finished compliance certificate.
Can buyers trust the data?
Yes. Records are drawn from source systems rather than typed in, and each published version is signed, timestamped, and hashed. A buyer can confirm the profile they are looking at is the real, unedited record.
What standards and certifications does TraceLoom work alongside?
TraceLoom organises the operating evidence behind common textile and apparel standards, including GOTS, OEKO-TEX, OCS, and BCI, alongside emissions and worker-welfare data. It keeps the underlying record current and verifiable so your certifications are easier to back up.
Pricing, security, and getting started
How much does TraceLoom cost?
TraceLoom is priced per facility, never per seat, across three tiers: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. Every user at a facility is included. Pricing scales with the size of the operation rather than the number of logins. See pricing.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Data sits in tenant-isolated Postgres with row-level security, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, and AES-256 at rest, with full audit logging. Each tenant is isolated at the database layer, not just in the application. Read the security overview.
Who owns the data?
You do. TraceLoom processes your operating data on your behalf, governed by our Data Processing Agreement, and you decide what is published and to whom. See the DPA.
